About this comparison

Share of trial starts that become paid subscriptions. Benchmark: 5–9 day trials across app categories. Other steps have no matching benchmark.

The biggest drop, marked.

Every step shows how many people continue. The step that loses the most gets a flag.

Priced in revenue.

Raise the pass rate at one step and see new paying customers and monthly revenue.

Every way you earn.

End a funnel at a subscription, an in-app purchase, or a first payment on your website.

How does the improvement example work?

Change the target pass rate for the selected step. The example keeps all later step rates and revenue per payer fixed. Its result is a scenario for comparison, not a forecast. Plan a test to measure the real change.

What setup does a funnel need?

Send one named event for each step. Choose the order, customer identity, and time allowed to complete the funnel. Keep those settings the same when comparing groups. Use MRR to compare the recurring value of new payers.

Compare platforms, sources, and campaigns.

Split any funnel by platform, traffic source, or campaign. See which group pays most, and where each one leaves.

Build a funnel in three steps.

Use the events you already send. Page views, screens, sign-ups, trials, and purchases all work as steps.

  1. Pick your steps

Choose events in order, from App opened or a page view to Subscription or a purchase. Mix web and app events in one funnel.

  2. Choose a window

Set how long people have to finish: one day, seven days, or thirty. DataDad counts each person once per step.

  3. Compare segments

Split by platform, source, campaign, or country. The biggest drop and its revenue update for each group.

Send a custom step from your website or your iOS app. Revenue events come from the stores and Stripe.

Funnel questions, answered.

What is funnel analysis?

Funnel analysis follows people through the steps to a goal, like sign-up or a first payment. It shows how many people continue at each step and where most of them leave.

Can a funnel span web and app?

Yes. Web and app events use one event model, so a funnel can start on your website and end in your app. DataDad joins the steps when it knows the same person on both, for example after they sign in.

How is the "what it's worth" number calculated?

You pick a better pass rate for the step with the biggest drop. DataDad keeps the other steps at their current rates, counts the extra paying customers, and multiplies by your average revenue per customer.

Can I compare campaigns or platforms?

Yes. Split any funnel by platform, traffic source, campaign, or country. Each group gets its own conversion rate and biggest drop.

Do funnels need cookies?

No. Funnels work with the cookieless default. Web visitor IDs change each day, so optional consent mode unlocks web funnels that run over several days. Privacy and consent.
