Free UTM builder and checker
Build a campaign link or paste one to check it. Review its tags, use naming suggestions, and keep control of every change.
Campaign details
Only the website URL is required. Pasted campaign tags fill the fields. Your link updates as you type.
Editing a field replaces that tag, including duplicate versions. Clearing a field removes that tag. Other tags stay as pasted.
Your campaign link
Your URL stays in this browser. We do not open, send, or store it.
Check your link
What are UTM parameters?
UTM parameters tell your analytics where a visit came from. Source names the publisher, medium names the channel, and campaign groups links from the same campaign.
Use consistent names, such as newsletter, email, and autumn_launch. Avoid names, email addresses, and other personal details in campaign URLs.
Which UTM parameters are required?
All campaign fields are optional in this builder. Add only the details you need. For Google Analytics, Google recommends source, medium, and campaign for complete reports. Missing parameters can appear as “(not set)” in reports.
What happens to an existing tagged URL?
Pasted tags fill the fields without changing the link. Duplicate and mixed-case tags stay until you edit their field or choose a fix. We keep other query parameters, extra UTM tags, and the page fragment. Pasting another tagged link imports that link’s values. Changing to an untagged URL keeps your campaign fields.
What does the checker look for?
It checks duplicate or empty tags, mixed-case keys, common naming issues, and possible personal data. Source and medium suggestions are examples, not rules. Choose names that match your reports. The checker cannot confirm that your analytics service will record a visit.
Example: a newsletter campaign
https://example.com/pricing?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=autumn_launch
Here, newsletter names the source, email names the channel, and autumn_launch groups the campaign. Add utm_content=footer to distinguish a footer link from a header link in the same email.
