A page can answer with status 200 and still be broken: an empty shop, a database error, a maintenance page. A keyword check catches this.
Add a keyword
- Open the website monitor, then Settings. When you add a website monitor, you can set the keyword on the website step under Check page content.
- Open Check page content.
- Under The page must, choose Contain or Not contain.
- Enter the keyword, for example
Add to cartorFatal error, and save.
How it works
- DataDad reads the first 1 MB of the response after a status from 200 to 299.
- Upper and lower case do not matter.
- DataDad searches the response as it arrives, including the HTML source. A word in the page's code also counts.
- When the rule is broken twice in a row, the monitor is down. The alert says Keyword not found or Keyword found.
To remove the rule, clear the keyword and save.
